December 10, 2011: What a world, what a world

With this post, I am once again all caught up with the daily blog-posts! Just in time to leave for Mendoza tomorrow, and doubtless to fall behind again.

Today was an extraordinarily bland day, spent entirely behind the computer, finishing up the volunteer work pre-Mendoza. About the only other exciting thing that happened was that I cooked pasta with sauce made from real tomatoes, instead of the ketchup-like italiano paste I usually use here.

Do you know what makes a long, eyeball-melting workday somewhat better? Listening to energetic music and waving my arms around. It made me feel much livelier.

My mother read my recent Gato Central post, and emailed me a superb elaboration upon one of its topics, the Wicked Witch of the East Cat:

Who killed the Witch of the East? Was it you?

  1. Oooooh, I’m famous! I made it onto Hermitina! I’m so happy. I was quite pleased with my handiwork and am glad it’s not been doomed to a solitary life in g-mail’s “archive” folder. Travel safely, Wings of Glory! I can’t wait to read the next chapter.

Emmy and Eleni are asleep in the next room. I’m so excited they stayed TWO nights. Such a treat!

  2. Atta girl, Lu!
We’ve got an awesome Mom, don’t we? I mean, most of the time.
    Half the time.
    Sometimes.
    1/4 of the time?
